Minister with Music

When used in accordance with God’s Word, church music communicates truths that edify believers and reach the lost with the gospel. To prepare for serving the local church through music, students in the music ministries program receive thorough training in Bible and music instruction.

Whether studying to become music ministers, choir directors, accompanists, or church musicians, students become proficient in musical skill while gaining understanding of the importance of God-honoring music. Bible classes emphasize spiritual application of the academic instruction to prepare students’ hearts and minds for music ministry. The program also provides abundant music opportunities through choral and instrumental groups.

Foundational to the music ministries program is PCC’s comprehensive instruction in God’s Word. In classes, Campus Church, chapel, and various avenues of ministry, there are many opportunities to grow in God’s Word while being challenged to serve others.

Graduate Perspective

I am so thankful for the music instruction I received at PCC. If it had not been for that instruction, I would not be able to minister as effectively. When I began this position four years ago, my choir immediately sounded better than before, simply because of the training I received in rehearsal and conducting techniques.
