Commercial Art Concentration

PCC's Art Program

Bachelor of Science Degree, Visual Arts Major

Mr. Jekel
A Graduate’s Perspective

When I started looking for a college to attend, it was nearly impossible to find an art program that agreed with my ethical beliefs. Almost every school was immersed in humanistic philosophy. Then God led me to PCC and I saw that traditional art is still alive. My experiences here have shown me the absolute necessity for Christian artists. The art world is deprived of Christ centered art and it is time for us to reclaim the arts for our Savior. My class projects have been completed with the desire to bring glory to my God. — Eric, PCC 2008 Graduate

Commercial art dominates society’s creative communication. This program begins with a foundation of basic drawing and design elements to equip students with proper skills and technique, and proceeds through advanced skills in drawing, painting, and computer usage. Under the direction of currently employed commercial art illustrators, the goal of our art department is to develop in the student the ability to provide professional workmanship and convey Biblical principles in the field of commercial art.
