Early Childhood Concentration
Bachelor of Science Degree, Elementary Education Major
Early childhood concentration includes knowledge and skill to work with nursery-school students
through second-grade students.
Early Childhood Teaching Internship: This begins Pre-term in the fall with ED 419
Teaching Internship Orientation. Teaching internships are restricted to students who meet the
following prerequisites:
- Senior in last two semesters
- Completed prerequisite course work (see EE 450 course description)
- Completed application procedures by announced deadline
- Explicit approval of the Department of Elementary Education
Academic Requirement: Students must have at least a “C” in all
education courses and in MA 111. A minor is required.
Academic Program Fee: $80 per semester or $20 per payment.
