Pensacola Christian College was established in 1974, primarily as a Christian liberal arts college, and it is dedicated to maintaining the highest academic standards and presenting the vital issues of the day in light of Scripture.
Key responsibilities include inspecting, repairing, and maintaining electrical circuits and systems along with the associated equipment, fixtures, and components. Other responsibilities are using knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the trade, enforcing safety awareness, and following established policies.
The ideal candidate should have developed communication skills and be able to set a good example for student workers in work and appearance. Candidate must have the physical stamina to climb ladders and scaffolding, reach and bend as necessary, lift 50-plus pounds of material regularly, and be able to tolerate heights. Must be capable of operating specialty powered and non-powered tools and equipment typical to the trade and have experience in the field.
Employees must be born-again Christians and must agree with the ministry’s Doctrinal Position, Philosophy of Education, and Employee Commitments and with the mission, purpose, and objectives of Pensacola Christian College, Inc. Additionally, employees are hired based on professional credentials, education, training, experience, Christian testimony, and perceived ability to succeed.
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, and a general understanding of mechanics and repairs.
