Engineering Faculty

Pensacola Christian College’s Engineering Department in the Division of Arts and Sciences is seeking candidates for full-time faculty qualified to teach in our undergraduate engineering major (BSE with concentrations in electrical or mechanical engineering).

Key responsibilities include preparing and teaching courses from a Christian perspective; advising students; and contributing to curriculum development as needed. Applicants should possess a strong desire to instill Biblical values through teaching and personal example and must evidence mastery of subject content.

A doctorate or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution is desired. Although specialty in an area such as analog or digital or mechanical or power or thermal systems is expected, the applicant must be able to teach engineering science and engineering design courses at all levels of the undergraduate curriculum. Preference will be given to applicants who have experience and interest in teaching a broad spectrum of lower-level courses as well as several upper-level design courses. At least 18 graduate credits in another department, such as mathematics, or science, or computer science is advantageous. Professional licensure and practical design experience are also desirable. Previous teaching experience or engineering experience is preferred. Prospects with related experience, whether retiring from the field or simply desiring to change careers to impart engineering experience to students in the classroom, are welcome to make inquiry.
