Schedule a Visit!

If you’re looking for a Christian college, you’ve probably scrolled through dozens of websites to find a school that’s right for you. Website descriptions and pictures are great, but websites can’t capture the sounds of cheering fans at the Thanksgiving Turkey Bowl or Eagles basketball games. They can’t offer you friendly conversations with current students or allow you to experience residence halls, classes, and dining facilities.

So we invite you to join us on campus for College Days. We’ll treat you like a real college student—minus the homework—as you live in the residence halls, dine with students, attend chapel, and visit classes of your choice.

Your Visit also Includes:

  • A guided tour of campus with a Campus Host.
  • Use of the Sports Center, where you can go rock climbing, water sliding, surfing on the FlowRider, inline skating, ice skating, bowling, and so much more!
  • An at-a-glance schedule to help you get where you need to go.
  • The chance to meet with an enrollment advisor in person.

Typical Fall Activities

Praise Service and Thanksgiving Dinner

  • A favorite Thanksgiving tradition is the Praise Service, a 45-minute program of drama, music, and Scripture focused on praising God. Later in the day, a traditional Thanksgiving meal is served. Thursday meal is offered at four convenient times so other activities can still be enjoyed throughout the afternoon and evening. Whether students have family come to spend the holiday with them or are away from loved ones, they can still feel at home by enjoying a full traditional turkey dinner on campus.

Turkey Bowl Men’s Soccer Championship

  • College Field becomes the hub of activity for the annual Turkey Bowl collegian soccer championship. There’s something for everyone, whether or not you’re a sports fan. During the soccer game, the crowd enjoys pizza, subs, cotton candy, and a variety of beverages while fellowshipping, visiting the alumni tent, and anticipating the always entertaining half-time show—all provided by the Pan-Hellenic Committee and the public relations class. Each year, these student groups host the event, making it an exciting success.

Fine Arts Series Performance

  • Another event is the Fine Arts Series directed and performed by PCC students, staff, and faculty. Previous productions have featured Shakespeare dramas and Gilbert and Sullivan comedies.

Eagles vs. Alumni Basketball Game

  • Every year, the PCC Eagles challenge returning alumni to a basketball game where friendly competition often provides an exciting game.
  • The game starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Sports Center on Thanksgiving night.

Women’s Collegian Volleyball Championship

  • On Saturday night, the Sports Center Arena welcomes the women’s collegian volleyball championship. It’s a thrilling match as these ladies compete to earn top honors for the year.

Nurses’ Lamp Lighting Ceremony

  • This service celebrates the sophomore nursing students’ acceptance into the nursing program and marks the start of their clinical work. Until this time, their training has been in the classroom and nursing lab learning basic clinical skills; but after Thanksgiving, they begin hands-on clinical training in local hospitals. During the ceremony, the nursing students light lamps to represent their entrance into the program. Reminiscent of the lamp Florence Nightingale used while caring for soldiers at night, these lamps signify the nurses’ tireless dedication and their responsibility as Christian nurses to be a light in their field.
