Strings Concert April 19, 2014

Conducted by PCC faculty member Matheus Canada, the Strings Concert celebrated the works of famous composers. Beginning with two of Beethoven’s compositions, the audience enjoyed Piano Trio Op. 1, No. 2 in G Major Finale, and Piano Trio Op. 1, No. 3 in C Minor Finale. Then the concert moved to Mendelssohn’s Piano Quartet in D Minor. String ensembles performed Bach’s Sinfonia in D Major and Mendelssohn’s String Quartet in E Flat Op. 12 Finale. The concert concluded with Rouse’s Orange Blossom Special, which was nicknamed “The Fiddle Player’s National Anthem.”
