Everyone has favorite traditions that they look forward to each holiday season (pumpkin pie, anyone?). For Thanksgiving, the PCC family comes together for some of the College’s best-loved traditions.
Enjoy special home-style meals and the morning Praise Service.
Every Thanksgiving, students and guests enjoy a festive fall breakfast before attending the Praise Service, to reflect on God’s blessings in the past and thank Him for His goodness to us today. And of course, Thanksgiving wouldn’t be complete without the traditional turkey dinner, along with all the fixings and pumpkin pie.
Grab a seat on Eagle Field for the Turkey Bowl!
There’s something for everyone, sports fan or not, at our annual collegian soccer championship. While cheering for their favorite team, fans can enjoy pizza, snacks, and a variety of hot and cold beverages during the game. It’s a great time to relax with friends and for alumni to reconnect at the alumni tent. Plus the halftime show is sure to provide some exciting entertainment!
Get your tickets for the Fine Arts Production of A Christmas Carol.
This year’s performance of Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol is sure to pull heartstrings and maybe even a few tears. The miserly Ebenezer Scrooge is determined to stay as far away from Christmas cheer as he can, but then an unexpected guest appears on Christmas Eve, warning him of the impending doom. The subsequent events bring about a radical transformation in Scrooge’s life, leaving the audience with the powerful truth that relationships—not money—matter most. For information or to purchase tickets, call (850) 478-8496, ext. 2792.
Celebrate with us at the Nurses’ Lamp Lighting Ceremony.
This ceremony honors sophomore nursing students accepted into the nursing program and marks the official beginning of their clinical experiences in local healthcare facilities. Lighting these lamps represents the charge for these students to shine brightly not only in their care of their patients but also as a light drawing others to Christ. The ceremony will be held in the MacKenzie Great Hall at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 26.
Cheer at the Eagles vs. Alumni basketball game.
Every Thanksgiving night, the PCC Eagles challenge returning alumni to an exciting basketball game. You’ll see that age is no determination of skill in this friendly competition.
Come experience college life!
A highlight of our Thanksgiving festivities is welcoming College Days guests on campus. You’re invited to all holiday functions, including classes on Friday to try out college life.
We hope you’ll spend this Thanksgiving season with us!
