Bring efficiency and organization to office environments

Businesses and ministries look for diligent, organized employees who are motivated to assist others and thrive in fast-paced office environments. PCC’s Office Administration program trains students to be skilled, dependable, and valuable in the workplace.

With a firm grasp of business and secretarial concepts, an office administration graduate can confidently step into a managerial position and run an efficient, organized office. Students are prepared to be outstanding in any office setting with proficiency in skills such as keyboarding, filing and records management, accounting, the latest popular computer applications (including every component of the Microsoft Office suite), office procedures, and both verbal and written communication.

Working successfully in an office environment requires not only technical skills but also interpersonal skills and highly developed character. PCC’s office students, through careful instruction and godly examples, are taught to be reliable, efficient, organized, friendly, and flexible, with an eye for detail and the ability to work independently or in a group setting. A highly skilled employee who has a strong testimony with employers, coworkers, and clients has a special opportunity to be a light for Christ in the workplace.

Graduate Perspective

“There’s a lot more to being a secretary than many people realize! PCC’s program for office administration prepared me for my current work by teaching me a wide variety of skills. The keyboarding classes taught me to be a fast and accurate typist. In Office Procedures, I had to publish an office manual with sample letters, memos, and other business documents. Using what I learned about Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint, I designed brochures, flyers, bulletins, and even basic web pages. The best part about PCC’s program was the emphasis that in all areas of business and life we need to do everything to the best of our ability and for God’s glory.” Connie Pierce Beneteau (’04 grad) Secretary/Receptionist, High Country Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine (Delta, CO)
