Become a leader in money management

Financial experts with wisdom and integrity are great assets to their companies and clients. PCC’s finance program gives students the training necessary to build meaningful careers, with the biblical discernment essential to honoring the Lord in financial dealings.

Finance students receive knowledge and skills in accounting, investments, corporate and personal finance, economics, insurance, marketing, risk management, international finance, business law, financial modeling and forecasting, and portfolio management. This foundation in business and management, combined with a liberal arts base in English, speech, history, math, Bible, and interpersonal skills, helps graduates become well-rounded and articulate professionals who can relate to their clients.

With capability in a wide spectrum of financial areas, graduates are valuable employees who can increase profitability for individuals, ministries, and businesses.

Graduate Perspective

I travel throughout the state of Louisiana to help ensure that the highest quality drinking water is available to the residents of Louisiana. I also interact with engineers from the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals to stay ahead of upcoming rules and regulations for drinking water. As a finance student at PCC, I had to calculate costs and use formulas in my classes. Now in my job, I use many formulas and calculations to determine the most cost-effective treatment applications for my customers.

I also learned how to make presentations and write reports, two skills that I use in training the operators how chemicals work and how to fill out reports. These important skills I acquired in my education at PCC.
