A Word from the Chair of Performing Arts

The Performing Arts department at PCC is a vibrant community of students and faculty who are passionate about using their talents to communicate with others. Whether God has called to you teach, serve in Christian ministry, or pursue a performance career, you’ll find the right degree program to meet your needs at PCC!

Our talented and caring faculty will meet you where you are and teach you the skills needed to flourish in your craft. Each of our programs begins with a solid foundation in technique and theory, then continues with a study of history and literature in your field of interest. If you’re studying music at PCC, you’ll grow in your creative skills through classes like Choral Writing and Arranging and Orchestration. If speech is your passion, you’ll enjoy creative classes like Stagecraft and Scriptwriting. Students in both music and speech programs will learn and apply principles of directing, allowing you to share your vision with others and work together to bring it to life.

PCC offers students an exciting variety of performance opportunities, solo to ensemble, in venues large and small. You’ll have fun with your castmates and ensemble partners, and together you’ll enjoy the results of diligent preparation through memorable and meaningful performances. Our students forge life-long friendships and create an atmosphere of mutual support, respect, and teamwork.

Through your training at PCC, you’ll learn to pursue excellence, finding fulfillment as you honor the Lord. When you graduate, you’ll be poised to influence the world for Christ. Whether in a ministry field, as an educator, in performance, or pursuing further study, you will find yourself equipped for success from your time at PCC!
