Dr. Troy Shoemaker became the second president of Pensacola Christian College in 2012. His experience since 1989 in education and administration, along with personal mentorship from PCC’s founders, prepared him for this responsibility.
As president, he has dedicated himself to preserving the foundations of PCC’s mission, purpose, and commitment to biblical principles and academic excellence. His focus on institutional effectiveness and meaningful interaction with students enhances the services, activities, technology, and facilities that enrich the college experience. Dr. Shoemaker is known for his determination for improvement, dependence upon God, and desire to prepare today’s youth to serve Jesus Christ. His leadership encourages and motivates hundreds of faculty and staff who share his vision.
His education includes a bachelor’s degree in secondary education in 1989, a master’s degree in educational administration in 1994, and a doctorate in education from Pensacola Christian College in 2007. He also earned an education specialist degree from the University of West Florida in 2001.
