Pensacola Christian College is committed to excellence as a Christian educational institution
which glorify Christ as the source of all wisdom and knowledge, and educates students based on
biblical values. The administration, faculty, and staff are dedicated to training young people
for serving God.
Because our education is Christ-centered, our employees recognize their responsibility to be
role models both on and off campus. Having a sense of the need for an environment conducive to
spiritual growth has led Pensacola Christian College to adopt standards consistent with values
that promote the spiritual welfare of its students. Each member of the College community must
conduct himself according to moral and ethical principles found in Scripture.
Pensacola Christian College exists to provide an education in an atmosphere consistent with the
ideals and principles of godly living. The administration, faculty, staff, and students at
Pensacola Christian College voluntarily agree to live the principles as taught in the Bible.
We desire to honor God and strive to be characterized as true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of
good report, virtuous, and worthy of praise and to think on those things (Phil. 4:8). With
individual commitment, Pensacola Christian College seeks to demonstrate in daily living the
virtues of God’s Word, which include being honest, living a life that is chaste and
dedicated to God, and giving respect to others.
The Bible places a great emphasis on the importance of moral purity (I Cor. 6:18–20, I
Thess. 4:3–7). Employees of Pensacola Christian College strive to maintain purity in
action, appearance, and mind (I John 3:3). The Lord has provided the blessing of sexuality to
married couples (Heb. 13:4), one man and one woman united for life (Gen. 2:24–25, Rom.
7:2, 1 Cor. 7:10, Eph. 5:22–23). Any lifestyle that participates in or promotes sexual
activity outside the marriage union, including immorality in the heart (such as viewing or
possessing pornography: Psalm 101:3, Job 31:1, Matt. 5:28, Eph. 5:12) and sexual perversion
(such as adultery, fornication, incest, homosexuality, and lesbianism: Lev. 18:22, Rom.
1:26–27, I Cor. 6:9–10, Eph. 5:31, Jude 7), is unacceptable in God’s eyes and
is not permitted for an employee of this ministry.
For their spiritual well-being as well as for the corporate testimony of this ministry,
employees of Pensacola Christian College regularly attend Campus Church services.
We believe the following practices do not contribute to spiritual growth and development and
would destroy a Christian’s personal testimony and damage the testimony of the ministry
with students, for whom the employees are role models, and with the surrounding community:
smoking, dancing, card playing, gambling, using liquor in any form, attending movie theaters or
watching violent, “PG,” “R,” or “X” rated movies, attending
meetings of secret societies, and listening to rock music, etc.
