Student Opportunities

At PCC, students can get involved in so many ways. Every semester, Student Activities plans outings for students to take a break from their studies and to get out and meet new people or make memories with friends. They do anything from eating at favorite restaurants to shopping in Alabama to attending Ice Flyers hockey games. Collegian members-only outings, arranged by their vice presidents, take busloads to go paintballing, go-carting, or enjoying nature at West Campus.

Unify the campus with school spirit while playing intercollegiate teams (basketball, soccer, and volleyball) in the Sports Center Arena or on Eagle Field. Pump up the crowd as an Eagles Blue Crew member through tumbling, stunts, and giveaways. Compete in intramural sports: soccer, volleyball, softball, basketball, broom hockey, and men's flag football—some of which have championship tournaments such as the Turkey Bowl, a popular highlight each November, or the NCAA. Collegian athletics holds competitions in minor sports such as bowling, table tennis, kayaking, paintball, and rock climbing.

Contribute to the yearbook by colunteering in the Summit office with your collegian or by submitting pictures. Students can also participate in all kinds of music and dramatic performances and even travel during summer and winter breaks on ministry teams. Tryouts are held every semester and open to all students.

Students that like to sing can join one of the many choirs on campus. Those that play an instrument can perform in orchestra, band, ensembles, or pep band. Lessons are available to those interested in improving their ability. These opportunities allow students to get involved in church ministry and public performance.

Each semester, students can get involved in Dramatic Productions, graduate plays, and Fine Arts. Opportunities are available to audition for a role or volunteer to help behind the scenes. These on-campus productions provide the students with creative outlets, networking opportunities, and professional development in the dramatic arts. Students cast in Fine Arts plays and musicals can earn credit for their involvement.

Intramural and minor sports offer students regular exercise and the opportunity to build a strong team connection with their peers. Many have championship tournaments, including the NCAA and the campus favorite Turkey Bowl soccer playoff. Beyond the competition, students practice good sportsmanship between collegians and rival colleges.
