Story of Love, Belonging on PCC Stage

Inspired by L. M. Montgomery’s own childhood experiences in rural Prince Edward Island, Anne of Green Gables presents the touching story of the irrepressible and imaginative orphan Anne Shirley. PCC’s production was directed by performance arts faculty Stephen Burke and performed by PCC faculty, staff, and students, focusing on the love and adventure Anne brings to the elderly spinster and her brother who provide her with a real home.

While a familiar story to many, Anne of Green Gables on stage offered a closer connection to the story’s beloved characters as they encountered countryside adventures and learned the blessings of belonging.
