The King’s Singers A Cappella Sextet

Love was in the air during Valentine’s weekend as students made their way to the Crowne Centre to hear The King’s Singers make their PCC debut. Blending their rich voices together, the United Kingdom-based ensemble “sang around the world,” performing pieces from Great Britain, Spain, Italy, Korea, the United States, and more.

The audience enjoyed spirituals like “Down to the River to Pray” and “Little David Play on Your Harp,” as well as “Volare,” a famous Italian song, and “Arirang,” a traditional Korean song.

Of course, no Valentine’s-weekend concert would be complete without love songs. The King’s Singers delighted the audience with favorite old American classics that impressed listeners with their impeccable blend and creative vocal artistry.

The group received a standing ovation and performed two encores at the end of the concert. After the concert, students and guests filled the atrium, eager to meet the group’s members, get autographs, and purchase CDs and sheet music.
