You Can Do This

Getting an education should propel your life forward, not interrupt your progress. With three flexible options, you can finish your degree on your own schedule, at a pace that works for you.

Online Classes
  • 100% online classes—available 24/7—easily fit into your schedule.
  • You’ll get the same instruction whether you study on campus or online. With online classes, you’ll watch recorded lectures and complete projects and tests just like on-campus students.
On-Campus Classes

Strengthen face-to-face connections with faculty and classmates in traditional fall/spring semester courses, 9-day summer sessions, or one-week seminary modules.

Blended

With blended study, get the best of both worlds by combining online classes with an occasional on-campus class.

FAQs

Yes, a proctor is required for online classes. Online proctoring is our preferred method for tests and exams. However, if you choose to use a live proctor, there is a $10 proctor verification fee, and the proctor must be approved. The proctor must be a member of your local church staff or the staff of a Christian school. Relatives, peers, or other students enrolled in online courses are not allowed to be proctors. Your proctor should be available throughout the term to proctor your tests, and you will need to plan your testing times around your proctor's schedule.

Courses are designed with a level of flexibility. You will have access to a course calendar to assist you in planning your schedule. There is a 10% grade deduction on all late work (papers, projects, etc.) submitted after the calendar due date and a 10% grade reduction for quizzes and tests not taken within two weeks of the assigned due date. To receive credit for assignments (besides quizzes or tests), they must also be submitted before the date of the final exam posted in the course.

You’ll use a simple learning management system called Canvas to watch lectures, do your work, and connect with your professor and other students.

Yes, you’ll be able to email them or talk to them through Canvas if you have questions.

You must have a bachelor’s degree to be accepted into our graduate or seminary programs. A minimum 2.50 cumulative GPA is required to be accepted as a master’s student (2.00 for M.Div. and M.Min. degrees). Specialist degrees require a master’s degree with a minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA, and doctoral degrees require a master’s degree (M.Div. or equivalent for D.Min.) with a minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA.

You will need a stable internet connection of at least 2.0 Mbps or higher available at the location(s) where you will be completing your course(s) online.

If you will be using online proctoring, you need to take your exams using a PC or Mac desktop computer, laptop, iPad, or Chromebook. A webcam and a microphone are required. Cell phones cannot be used.

No, your diploma will only say “Pensacola Theological Seminary” or “Pensacola Christian College.” Your online degree is no different from the same degree earned on campus.

Feel free to take semesters off when you need to, but keep in mind that courses are offered on specific rotations; taking a semester off may affect your completion date.

You have seven years to finish (five years for the Ed.S. or six years for the D.Min.).
