What are Dramatic Productions?

Dramatic Productions (DP) are scenes or plays put on by the students in SP 307 and SP 308 each semester. Students are responsible for the entire production—set, lights, sound, makeup, casting, directing, and hosting. These productions are “for students, by students” and are very popular with the student body. See below for event details and performance notes.

Tell Me an American Classic

Experimental Theater

This spring, grab a seat and join the Dramatic Productions class as we present Tell Me an American Classic, a celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States. This year’s show is a compilation of stories from some of America’s most beloved authors, including O. Henry, Mark Twain, Louisa May Alcott, and Stephen Crane.

You’ll see student crafted adaptations of favorites, including “The Cop and the Anthem,” “The Last Leaf,” “The Pimienta Pancakes,” “A Retrieved Reformation,” “The McWilliams’s and the Burglar Alarm,” “The Bride Comes to Yellow Sky,” and Little Women.

We can’t wait to share these American classics with you this semester. We hope to see you there!
