BSN Program

Nursing is more than a career—it’s a calling. Driven by a heart to serve and care for others, nurses who begin at Pensacola Christian College become lifelong learners. For over forty years, the PCC nursing department has equipped BSN students with confidence and qualifications to pass the NCLEX-RN examination and prepare for the next level in healthcare.

You’ll have approximately twice the number of clinical hours that many schools offer—and that means hands-on instruction and one-on-one training, not just observing an instructor. You’ll finish college with more hours of full-time, mentored hospital experience than most nurses have even after completing their new-hire orientation.

And like almost all PCC nursing graduates, you will be given the skills to pass your NCLEX-RN with flying colors . . . on your first try.

MSN Program

Take your nursing career to the next level with the MSN program at PCC. You’ll take advanced nursing courses designed to build on your BSN degree and allow you to become the excellent teacher and leader God has called you to be. Start your nursing master’s degree today!

Nursing Success Stories

Ben Randolph
Nurse Anesthetist

Ben Randolph (Nursing ’04) chose PCC because he saw it as a great environment for learning and spiritual growth. Because of instructors’ training and high expectations, he was prepared for critical care nursing right out of college and for his challenging career as a nurse anesthetist.

Nursing Department’s Favorite Tradition:

The Pinning and Lamp Lighting Ceremony

The most poignant moment that blends career, college, and family takes place in May, alongside PCC’s Commencement.

Nursing students receive the nursing pin inscribed with the College seal and the words “Beauty,” “Strength,” and “Truth”—three ideals these graduates have exemplified. The pins symbolize the nursing students’ transition and welcome into the nursing profession.

The lighting of the lamps commemorates the tradition of Florence Nightingale, whose lamp brought hope to injured during the Crimean War. As graduates light their lamps, they are committing themselves to these same ideals of hope, healing, and comfort.
