Nursing Department

Nursing is more than a career—it’s a calling. Driven by a heart to serve and care for others, nurses that begin at PCC become lifelong learners. PCC’s nursing department is designed to equip BSN students with confidence and qualifications to pass the NCLEX-RN examination and prepare for the next level in healthcare.

BSN student completion, employment, and licensure passage rates consistently exceed accreditation standards and are well above national averages.

Dr. Denise McCollim

Dean of Arts and Sciences

Dr. Maybeth Elliott

Chair of Nursing Department

As a PCC nursing student, you will be trained to become a phenomenal nurse who shares Christ’s love to patients, ministering to their souls as well as their bodies.

You’ll have approximately twice the number of clinical hours that many schools offer—and that means hands-on instruction and one-on-one training, not just observing an instructor.

You’ll finish college with more hours of full-time, mentored hospital experience than most nurses have even after completing their new-hire orientation.

And like almost all PCC nursing graduates, you will be given the skills to pass your NCLEX-RN with flying colors…on your first try.

The Division of Arts and Sciences comprises the engineering and computer science, humanities, natural sciences, and nursing departments of Pensacola Christian College, each of which offers undergraduate degrees. The nursing department also offers a graduate degree.

The baccalaureate degree in nursing at Pensacola Christian College is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (ccneaccreditation.org).
