Acts 1:8 says, “…and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
PCC emphasizes both local and global evangelism, but sometimes the work of missionaries seems so far away. It’s hard to keep up with what they’re doing, their needs, and how God is working through them.
That’s why the voluntary student organization Mission Prayer Band was created. It gives all students weekly opportunities to keep missions at the forefront of their minds, to pray specifically, and to hear about missions opportunities.
On Monday evenings, students can come to hear updates and challenging messages from missionaries and those who’ve gone on student mission trips and to pray for the needs they’ve heard about and for others who’ve given their lives to winning the lost.
Many students who once prayed for missionaries in Mission Prayer Band are now missionaries themselves, serving the Lord and preaching the gospel around the globe.
