First Step Option Tuition and Costs

First Step Option classes cost only $369 per credit hour.

Convenient Payment Plan

You can choose to pay for the full semester’s basic charges up front and receive a 2% discount or take advantage of the payment plan.

If you choose the payment plan, you can pay in 4 flexible payments over 4 months—with no interest.

Your first payment will be due when you register, and then you'll have only 3 monthly payments left. See the payment plan schedule below for exact dates.

2-Credit Class

$184.50 per payment for a 2-credit class


3-Credit Class

$276.75 per payment for a 3-credit class


4-Credit Class

$369 per payment for a 4-credit class

Program Fees

Reservation Deposit—$125

  • The reservation deposit will be credited to the student's account upon transition to on-campus study.
  • If attending spring 2024, you will be refunded on February 19. And if attending fall 2024, you will be refunded on September 24.

Books & Course Materials—After you register, you’ll be able to get your course materials from Barnes & Noble College.

Conditional Fees

Drop/Add/Change of Course Fee—$10

Reservation Deposit Late Fee—$25

  • 3rd payment—October 23, 2023
  • 4th payment—November 20, 2023

  • 4th payment—April 15, 2024

You can pay by check,* money order, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express. If you choose to pay by credit or debit card, payments can be charged automatically so you don't even have to think about it.

*Please note that we are unable to accept postdated checks or to hold checks.

Late Payments

Students paying their account more than 10 days late will be charged a $20 late fee.

Students with accounts more than 11 days overdue may not be allowed to access classes and will have their grades withheld until their accounts are made current.
