Education Department

At the center of the education department at Pensacola Christian College is the knowledge that all truth and wisdom come from God. Students are taught truths from God’s everlasting revelation in the Scriptures and in God’s creation; they learn to use teacher-centered techniques that include biblical integration to ensure K–12 students are prepared to serve wherever God calls them. Our purpose is to prepare students to teach effectively in any classroom while emphasizing the opportunity to teach in Christian schools. Graduates are qualified to receive teacher certification through the American Association of Christian Schools (AACS) and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). The programs do not lead to state licensure.

Learn to have an influence for Christ as you integrate biblical principles into the lessons you teach. You’ll master the traditional, tried-and-true methods that have consistently produced excellent results for many generations… and you’ll discover how to make your classroom an exciting environment where students will love to learn!

Faculty members with years of teaching experience will mentor you every step of the way—culminating in your internship at Pensacola Christian Academy, one of the country’s most respected Christian schools. There, you’ll work one on one with a master teacher, who will advise you as you take full responsibility with a PCA class.

When you graduate, you’ll be ready to lead your own class as a confident, capable, caring teacher.

The Division of Professional Studies comprises the business and education departments of Pensacola Christian College, which both offer undergraduate and graduate degrees.
