Media Arts: Digital Skills for a Digital Age

“I became intrigued with the power of the media as a teenager. When the Lord led me to study broadcasting in college, my goal was to use media to promote the cause of Christ. Since PCC's heartbeat is to produce graduates who will influence their world for Christ, teaching media at PCC allows me to expand my influence as I train students to be ambassadors for Christ.

In the past, media professionals needed to develop highly specialized skill sets. They filled specific roles such as camera operators, on-air talent, video editors, and audio technicians. But today, rapidly changing technologies and the convergence of the media industries have created a field that requires flexible professionals who can do it all. The Media Arts A.S. provides a strong foundation of diverse skills so you’ll be equipped to stand out in this dynamic, fast-paced industry. Practical coursework, experience with industry-standard equipment, and instruction from experienced faculty will help you graduate ready to succeed.”
